Take the charges of corruption seriously

Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh must not take the charges of corruption in his government by Arvind Kejriwal, social-turned political activist and IAC Chief, lightly. To keep at least personal integrity and honesty intact, he must order immediately the probe into the charges. In contrary to that, the habit of his party leaders and ministers to starting making allegations and accusation against Arvind Kejriwal and the opposition BJP in their defence. It only strengthens the message about corruption among the people. And ultimate looser in the game of allegation and counter allegation will be the UPA government. Arvind Kejriwal makes allegations against politicians and business men at regular intervals. The fresh allegation that he has made against multinational HSBC Bank of indulging in money laundering and claimed that Ambani brothers, Jet Airways Chairman Naresh Goyal and Congress MP Anu Tandon had parked their black money in its Geneva branch. Kejriwal and his associate lawyer Prashant Bhushan have alleged that around Rs 6,000 crore of black money is lying in 700 accounts of the Geneva branch of the bank. It is no longer secret that huge black money is stashed in foreign banks to escape from the penalty of Indian laws. UPA government is alleged to have not worked sincerely for bringing back thousands of crores of black money from foreign banks. The entire nation knows that if all the black money is recovered and brought back into our country, it will be of great help in removing our poverty. But this huge amount of black money will be brought back by following rules and regulations put in place at international level. Government is only required to expedite the process of recovery of black money from. On this front, it is lacking in. UPA Government needs to be serious and imposing in prevailing on the Swiss bank to disclose the name of all the Indian account holders with it. Every charge of corruption leveled by Arvind Kejriwal is not without proof and unfounded. By merely sending a letter of denials by the persons against whom the charges of money laundering and stashing huge of money in banks abroad have been leveled, they can not be absolved of accusations. The UPA government also must not consider those charges as closed case. UPA Government needs to be serious to bring transparency in all financial activities and for that, all the charges leveled by Kejriwal must be thoroughly probed. The reaction that the UPA government expresses to allegations of corruption and inefficiency amply makes it clear from its defence that something is suspect. UPA is unable to read the writing on the wall.
