Horrible and shocking murder due to security lapses in school

Now, no one is safe anywhere in the city. Neither young woman, elderly people are safe in their homes nor are the boys and girls in schools. The gruesome murder of 7-year-old Pradyumn Thakur allegedly by school Bus conductor in the Toilet of his prestigious Ryan International School in Gurgaon is shocking and horrible. The perpetrators of appaling crime must be arrested without any loss of time. The school is considered to be the safest place for the children after their homes. The parents leave their children in school to study and become rest assured of their safety and security. But when the school turned out to be their children's graveyard, it is most heartbroken and shocking. Pradyumn's father had left him along with his sister at the school gate and went home. But after a few hours, school telephoned him that his son was bleeding and admitted to the hospital. He rushed to the hospital and found his son dead. He called it a clear case of murder. Undoubtedly, it is a clear case of murder. It also reflects very poorly on the law and order in Haryana. The Ryan school is not an ordinary school. It is one of the prestigious schools in Gurgaon. Gurgaon is also not like any other town or city of the country. It houses most of the MNCs and it is full of high rise buildings. People belonging to upper middle-class category live in large number in Gurgaon. The security measures should also be full proof there. But it is completely lacking in security and the city is ill-policed. The first responsibility of students’ safety and security is of school. The moment parents leave them at the school gate, their security lies with it. But the school has completely failed in providing safety and security to the children. The trusts of the parents are broken. The bus conductor of the school is accused of murdering Pradyumn. The conductor was reportedly stimulating in the school washroom when Pradyumn also went there and he saw him do this type of behaviour, he raised an alarm. It is also alleged that conductor assaulted the boy sexually as his semen was reportedly found on the shirt of the deceased school boy. According to the news paper report, when the boy resisted bus conductor's sexual advance, he slashed his neck with sharp tools. Though school promptly acted and informed the police and took the boy to the hospital, it is its lapses that why it employed the bus staff of this character and why it allowed him to share the toilet with the boys in the school. Had the school got the accused bus conductor verified by the police, this shocking and saddening incident of murder could not have happened. It is clearly evident that school management has left the safety measures to the winds. That is why the shocking and horrible murder of Pradyumn Thakur took place in school Toilet. The main aim of all the private schools in big cities of the nation, including Gurgaon, is to fleece as much money possible from the parents of the children in the name of different kinds of development and security measures, but do nothing. That is why the school turns out to be the graveyard of the innocent children. Though this is not the first time that a boy of 7 Yrs of the 2nd standard was murdered in school premises, there has been the death of boy due to drowning in another school as reported earlier also. The school management must take seriously this horrible and shocking incident and take measures to ensure that the incident like is not repeated.
